What will happen at the assessment clinic?
Depending on your symptoms your GP will arrange for you to attend an assessment clinic as soon as possible.
Attending this clinic does not necessarily mean you have cancer. Nine out of ten lumps are not cancer. However, attending the clinic is vital so that you can find out whether your lump is cancer or not.
At the clinic a combination of tests, known as a Triple Assessment, will be carried out. This comprises:

How long will I have to wait for my diagnosis?
