For those concerned about their family history of breast cancer
This section of our website aims to provide information and contacts for those affected by a family history of breast cancer.

We encourage you to share your concerns about breast cancer with others in our discussion group, be aware of your rights, be informed about breast cancer and risk, understand your medical options and be aware of the latest research and trials.
This part of our website has been put together in consultation with a group of people with concerns about their family history of breast cancer, known as the Breakthrough Genetics Reference Group. They highlighted the importance of information.
The information on this section of our site has been developed from reliable sources - the Breakthrough Genetics Reference Group, scientific research at The Breakthrough Toby Robins Breast Cancer Research Centre amongst other places, and links with clinical geneticists and policy makers - to make sure that it is trustworthy.
All information on this site has been checked by two Clinical Geneticists and a Research Scientist. Find out more about the research used to inform this website.
Your feedback on what is clear, useful or missing will help us to develop a better family history site for you.
Improved information
Through improved information we hope to inform, connect and
empower you.
The most important thing is to be given information by someone that you can trust.
