Jonathan is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of England and Wales. He has been a Trustee of Breakthrough since May 2010.
He worked at the Institute of Cancer Research from 1977 until his retirement in December 2009, most recently as Secretary, Principal Finance Officer and Head of Corporate Services and was the Founding Secretary of the Charity Finance Directors Group. He was elected as the Honorary Treasurer of the Ramblers, Britain’s biggest walking charity, in 2009 – the same year he took up the position of Director of the American charity ICR Global Foundation and Chairman of the UK subsidiary.
