Trevor is Emeritus Professor of Breast Oncology at the Institute of Cancer Research, London and Consultant Breast Oncologist and Medical Director at Parkside Oncology Centre in London. Until 2003 he was Head of Breast Cancer at the Royal Marsden Hospital. He was also Divisional Medical Director of Common Cancers and previously Chairman of the Clinical Research Committee at the Royal Marsden. He has been visiting Professor at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, Harvard Medical School, Boston, Tom Baker Cancer Centre, University of Calgary, Canada, and MD Anderson Cancer Centre, Houston, Texas.

Trevor holds medical specialist accreditations in endocrinology and medical oncology and a PhD in molecular pathology of breast cancer. His clinical and research work has focused on the prevention, risk assessment, diagnosis, and early treatment of breast cancer. He has published and lectured widely on the diagnosis, prevention and treatment of breast cancer. He has won awards including the Komen Brinker award for outstanding contribution to breast cancer research and the All Party Parliamentary Group award for his lifetime contribution to breast cancer care. In 2002 he was made a CBE in recognition of his services to breast cancer patients. Trevor is a Patron of Breast Cancer Care and has been a Trustee of Breakthrough since May 2010.
