Keep the date

If you're planning a big event but aren't ready to send out invites, why not send everyone a reminder to save the date in their diary. This can be as easy as popping up a poster in your local town hall or pub notice board.

Don’t go it alone

Many hands make light work so get friends and family on board to help! It's surprising how much you can achieve with a little help from your friends.

Take to the streets

Nothing beats spreading the word the good old fashion way. Create a leaflet or flyer with all the info people need to know and get it out there! From your Community Centre to your local gym the options are endless, but don’t forget to ask permission from the owner.

Get your local media behind you

We have a toolkit for getting publicity from your local paper, radio and TV station, which you can download below, or phone or email us. Remember to give plenty of notice and then follow it up a few days before.

Facebook and Twitter it

If you use social networking sites, make sure you put your target and your fundraising efforts up there, and ask your friends to pass it on to their friends.

Visit our £1000 Challenge Facebook page to discuss your ideas with other challengers, share your photos and more.
