After seeing her twin sister battle and lose her fight against the disease, Barbara Allebone began to host an annual show at her dancing school, The Barbara Hooton Dancing School, to raise awareness of the disease and funds for Breakthrough.

The school has held an annual show for the last three years at the Castle Theatre, featuring ballet and tap displays over two nights. There were around 500 people in attendance, raising £2,000 each time.
Seeing her sister’s name on the wall was an emotional moment for Barbara. "Even though I can only see her name on a wall, I can still feel her. We will be sixty next week, she won't be at the party, but her spirit will. And my dancing school will continue to support Breakthrough Breast Cancer. I salute the wonderful work that you do."
