As a Local Representative you can play a big part in maintaining Breakthrough’s visibility in your community.

Our Local Representatives are a network of dedicated volunteers based throughout the UK. They represent Breakthrough in their area by raising awareness of the charity and our life saving work.

You can become involved as much or as little as you like, and the role is completely flexible, allowing it to fit in with your lifestyle.

You may find yourself:

  • Attending cheque presentations
  • Saying a few words of thanks on our behalf
  • Presenting to local groups to raise awareness and gain support
  • Spreading the word about Breakthrough activities within your community

How we support you:

  • A dedicated member of Breakthrough head office staff will be on hand to provide advice and guidance every step of the way
  • A resources pack which includes templates for speeches
  • Breakthrough magazine and regular e-newsletters
  • Opportunity to gain advise and support from other reps across the country
  • Opportunity to attend annual workshop in London to hear more about Breakthrough and our work
