There are many different types of cells in the body. For example the breast is made up of lots of different types of cells including muscle cells, skin cells and blood cells.

Most cells have 46 chromosomes, made of neatly folded thread-like DNA. The genes within the DNA carry information about all of the activities that go on within that cell.
