Angie's Angels
IOM Chair Angie Aire and her colleagues recently dived out of a small plane near Lancaster - and all in aid of Breakthrough! (they did have parachutes)
The pic shows from left to right :Wendy Randerson, Karen Mansell, Angie Aire & Claire Malcolm.
Just after she jumped Angie emailed us to say
"We were all squashed together in the little plane(diver and instructor attached and a camera man each) but then the door opened and the freezing cold air rushed in and all we could see was the clouds - it was surreal when we sat on the edge of the plane and we flopped out - firstly 200mph and then when the little chute opened just 120mph for 50 seconds then the main chute opened and that was really something- then we came beneath the clouds and what a view!Saw Blackpool Tower in the distance.
We 'flew' over the airfield and I waved and shouted to my mum & dad who came with me this time! It was very emotional actually when I touched down at 30mph but a great landing! If I get all my money in it will be over £700 - can't believe I have done it!"
Days later when she'd had chance to savour the experience she said
"It really was a fantastic experience! One I would love to repeat!"
Thanks to all those who "jumped" with Angie, they hope to raise £2500 for Breakthrough.
