North Herts & South Cambs Group first meeting of 2010

On Wednesday our group held the first meeting of 2010.  I was pleased to see a new face, Jo Honey, who came along to see what we do and if she would like to join us. Jo had good ideas, was very keen, and has offered her help in lots of areas..... she'll learn!!  We had a full agenda with several activities coming up over the next few months.  Hayley & I updated everyone on the Crocus Walk progress and we started to plan who would be doing specific duties before and on the day.  I was pleased Cat has kindly offered to be my co-walker the day before the event to do the final check of the route and put up the signs.  The next thing we must do is a risk assessment and also visit local shops for raffle prizes.

The Daffodil Weekend in my home village of Thriplow is the week following the walk so we also planned our stall and got a rough idea of who would be able to help and when. 

I was pleased that Kirsty was at the meeting as she modelled the new Breakthrough t-shirt (see pic) which is very pink, very bright and very  "Kirsty".  I have spoken to head office and they have agreed to let us have some of these t-shirts available for our Crocus Walkers for a minimum donation of £5 - please see registration form.

As usual, Hayley spoilt us with home made cookies & cakes to round off the evening.......... that is always the best bit!
