As one of fifty voluntary Breakthrough Groups across the UK, we help to raise funds and awareness by holding all sorts of different events --

What a variety of events we have enjoyed:

        Colourful Caribbean and glitzy Las Vegas

·       Golf Days with superb prizes and some brilliant after-dinner speakers

·       Ladies' Nights

·       Pink parties galore

·       Campaigning and networking

The main theme is always to keep the FUN in fundraising!

We also help other people in our local community to get involved and support them in their fundraising too by supplying pins, balloons, leaflets and collecting tins, by coming along to accept a cheque or simply to give a little advice.

We are so lucky to have you to support us and every penny counts

for example:
£7 buys a box of Nitrile gloves to protect scientists’ hands from dangerous chemicals.
£20 buys a digital thermometer.
£85 buys 200 cryotubes designed to withstand very low temperatures to store cells for long periods. 
£225 buys an Affymetrix Microarray genechip for studying genetics.
£10,000 buys a Nanodrop, a machine used to measure small amounts of DNA in a drop of liquid.
