New Cancer Map highlights growing need for better NHS Cancer Services

A new report from Macmillan Cancer Support highlights the variation across the UK in the number of people alive after a cancer diagnosis in the last one, five and ten years.

Dr Caitlin Palframan, Policy Manager at Breakthrough Breast Cancer said:

"More women than ever in the UK are surviving breast cancer - around four out of five women diagnosed with breast cancer in the UK are now expected to survive for at least five years. 

Our work strives to keep improving breast cancer survival through better awareness, better screening and better treatments."
