New figures out today reveal that breast cancer death rates are set to drop by 28 per cent by 2030. Dr Caitlin Palframan from Breakthrough Breast Cancer comments on these encouraging statistics:

“It is great news that death rates from cancer will continue to fall over the next 20 years. These figures highlight that the work of charities, like ours, is vital in the fight against cancer. Through raising awareness of the disease, encouraging early detection and researching better treatments, we really are making a difference.

"Every day our scientists are striving to make breakthroughs which will stop women dying from breast cancer today and in the future. We couldn’t carry out our life-saving work without the help of our fabulous supporters. Together we can continue to work towards a future free from this terrible disease.”
