A group of researchers have revealed that a blood test could determine a woman’s risk of developing breast cancer up to 20 years in advance.
Dr Sarah Rawlings, Head of Policy at Breakthrough Breast Cancer, comments:
“This is an interesting, but relatively small study. More research needs to be done, however we look forward to seeing how hormone levels combined with other factors could play a part in helping to determine a woman’s risk of developing breast cancer and in particular identify those at high risk.”
