I've never done anything like this before but Breakthrough has always been a charity close to my heart.

So when my Grandma was diagnosed in the summer of 2010 I decided I'd do something drastic to raise as much money as possible.

So after a few glasses of wine I applied for my place in the 2011 Virgin London Marathon! I found out I had my place on the same day my Grandma was having surgery and the emotion and the sheer pride I felt knowing I'd be running for Breakthrough was immense.

I'm pretty sure that no-one expected me to go through with this but my training is going well and i've already raised over £1300 so the race is on!
