My mum and my auntie were diagnosed with breast cancer on the same day in December 2007.
As you can imagine it was a devastating day for them and the whole family. They have had a lumpectomy and radiotherapy and are now have their second all clear and are in remission, thank goodness.
Breakthroughs website really helped give us the information we need, as well as trying to find a cure. I have joined the £1,000 challenge and aim to raise this twice - once for my mum and once for my auntie, but also for all the women out there who have or will suffer. I ran the Adidas Challenge and the Great North Run for breakthrough. My next challenge is the London Marathon!
