The BUPA Great Manchester Run is Britain’s premier 10k run, attracting some 33,000 runners, thousands of spectators and BBC television coverage.
We are launching a £5 million appeal in the North of England to bring a world-class team of scientists to Manchester that will help achieve our vision of a world free from the fear of breast cancer. The aim of our research in the new Breakthrough Research Unit, Manchester will be to increase the treatment options available to patients diagnosed with breast cancer and more accurately predict which therapies are most likely to succeed for any particular individual. We are doing this for the 48,000 daughters, mums, sisters, aunties and friends, who are currently diagnosed with breast cancer each year in the UK.
