Evidence shows that many older breast cancer patients face barriers to access and choice through their treatment and care. Our Every Chance campaign is opening the debate as to why some older breast cancer patients are treated differently, and will identify solutions to ensure treatment is based on clinical need rather than age.

Breakthrough Breast Cancer in  Scotland is keen to hear from people who have experience of being treated differently just because of their age and would like to support our Every Chance campaign.

You can support us by:

  • Telling us your story and your experience of how you were treated, whether it was good or bad
  • Influencing local NHS Boards and local politicians to improve services in your area
  • Sharing your story with local and/or national media
  • Helping Breakthrough influence Scottish Government and NHS Scotland at a national level

If you would like to get involved in our campaign we would love to hear from you. Please contact Myles Fitt on 0131 226 0766 or email mylesf@breakthrough.org.uk
