Breakthrough's Campaigns & Advocacy Network
Over 1,000 people affected by breast cancer or interested in breast cancer issues make up Breakthrough’s Campaigns & Advocacy Network (known as Breakthrough CAN). Together they campaign for improvements to make a difference to breast cancer services, treatment and research.
You too can get involved to improve breast cancer services
From campaigning locally on breast cancer issues - expressing the views of people affected by breast cancer to healthcare providers - through to taking action on Breakthrough’s national campaigns; there’s no limit to the number of ways you can choose to take action to work towards a future free from the fear of breast cancer.
Breakthrough CAN member, Judith Evans, said;
“Joining CAN has given me a chance to use my skills and knowledge to make changes for the better for all people affected by breast cancer. I get involved in a variety of ways from building relationships with both my Assembly Member and Member of Parliament, reviewing new leaflets to make sure they are suitable for patients to read, through to attending events and conferences to keep up to date with new developments in breast cancer. What I really enjoy about attending Breakthrough’s main lobbying Westminster Fly-In is meeting other CAN members from different parts of the country as it widens your horizons. I enjoy the range of ways I can work towards improving the future of breast cancer services.”
