Our wider influencing work
Breakthrough undertakes a wide range of influencing work in order to improve breast cancer research, awareness, services and treatments. This covers everything from developing responses to policy consultations to helping to shape national cancer strategies and make sure patient views are represented. We are also active members of a number of working groups. These involve working with other charities, voluntary bodies, healthcare professionals and other stakeholders, including the Government, to help create changes we want to see and make sure patients’ views are represented at the highest levels of policy-making.
