Breakthrough Breast Cancer has announced two major new funding programmes for breast cancer research in the UK - Breakthrough Research Units and the Breakthrough Clinical Researcher Programme.
Building on the success of the Breakthrough Breast Cancer Research Centre in London, these initiatives will support research into breast cancer at strategically important locations in the UK. The Breakthrough Research Units and Breakthrough Clinical Researchers will develop collaborative programmes of research with the Breakthrough Research Centre to improve our fundamental knowledge of breast tumourigenesis and translate these findings rapidly to the clinic for patient benefit.
