Jobs FAQs

What can I expect after submitting my application?

Due to the volume of applications we receive, we are not able to acknowledge all applicants of receipt of application. However, we inform all unsuccessful applicants in writing after the shortlisting process. We usually contact all shortlisted applicants by email and/or phone to arrange interview.

Again, due to the volume of applications, we do not automatically give specific feedback. However, please feel free to contact us should you wish to have further feedback.

Does it matter if I apply for more than one job?

Not at all. However, it is highly recommended that you tailor your applications according to the Person Specification from each vacancy.

What happens if I send a speculative CV?

We will acknowledge the candidate via email and/or post and inform them of any current suitable vacancies. If there isn’t anything available in the candidate’s area of interest, we will keep the speculative CV in a confidential file for six months and for review on a regular basis.

Where do you advertise your vacancies?

We advertise all our office posts on our website and Research Centre posts on the ICR website.

The Majority of our positions are advertised in the Guardian Newspaper, and on www.charityjob.co.uk.

We also advertise in the following for roles in specific areas;
