Fun with friends
Summer 2008: Banquet for Breakthrough
Breakthrough is asking people to have fun with food, friends and family and host a 'Banquet for Breakthrough'. A Banquet is the perfect summer celebration and can be a laid back picnic or a more formal dinner party. Visit www.breakthrough.org.uk/banquet or call 020 7025 2452.
October 2008: Pink Party
People can organise a Pink Party for Breakthrough Breast Cancer. It can be anything from a pyjama party, dinner party or a tea party - just as long as it's pink.

19- 25th October 2008: Bingo for Breakthrough
Bingo clubs across the UK will be turning pink for Bingo for Breakthrough Week to raise vital funds for Breakthrough Breast Cancer. Spring 2008: Crocus Walk
People can organise any kind of walk - from a stroll in the park, to a ramble in the countryside to raise money for Breakthrough.

Sporting
27th July: London to Cambridge Bike Ride 
The 55-mile bike ride from London to Cambridge is suitable for all abilities. The easygoing route takes cyclists through the beautiful Cambridgeshire countryside with refreshment stops along the way.

17th July: Standard Chartered Great City Race
Breakthrough is the preferred charity of the Standard Chartered Great City Race. Now in its fourth year the 5km run is firmly established as the City’s premier corporate running event.

7th September 2008: adidas Women's 5K Challenge
Breakthrough is the preferred charity for these fantastic 5K runs for women. Formally the Hydroactive Challenge, races take place simultaneously in London, Birmingham and Liverpool.

20th September 2008: Running 4 Women - Windsor

5th October 2008: Bupa Great North Run
The most popular Half Marathon in the world with 50,000 participants taking to the streets of Newcastle. Ballots for the race have now closed, but if you already have a place, why not join the Breakthrough team.
