Crocus Walk For Breakthrough Breast Cancer

Crocus Walk Pink Boots

media information

This Spring, Breakthrough Breast Cancer is asking people all over the UK to organise a sponsored Crocus Walk.

The walk can be anywhere, for any number of people and can be any distance, from a stroll around a local park to a ramble in the countryside, to a tour around a city centre.

People simply receive a fundraising guide, register their sponsored walk and ask their friends and family to support their fundraising and join them on a fun day out.

How the media can get involved

Publish details of the Crocus Walk For Breakthrough Breast Cancer as a perfect Spring or Mother's Day activity for all the family to enjoy, while raising funds for Breakthrough.

Feature emotional and inspiring real life stories of walkers who have been affected by breast cancer.

Interview Breakthrough spokespeople, including key scientists from the Breakthrough Research Centre.

Why is it called a Crocus Walk?

Crocuses are one of the first Spring flowers to bloom, adding hope and colour after a cold winter. In the same way, the work of Breakthrough Breast Cancer gives hope to the 44,000 women who are diagnosed with breast cancer each year in the UK.
