Breakthrough's success has in a large part been down to Kay's wealth of knowledge, experience of charities and incredible network of contacts.

Kay was one of Breakthrough's first, most committed and longest standing trustees. As a trusted friend of Bill Freedman, Kay was heavily involved in the charity from the very beginning.

Kay's family foundation, The Dunhill Medical Trust, also provided a very generous and much needed grant in the early days. Kay's experience, contacts, common sense and vision have steered the charity through all sorts of exciting ventures to where it is today.
