I am very honoured to be a Founding Honorary Fellow. The Mary-Jean Mitchell Green Foundation continues to be appreciative of Breakthrough's hard work and dedication.

Peter Green
Peter Green has been a major supporter of Breakthrough since the charity's launch in 1991 and to date Peter and his family have contributed over £3 million.

The Breakthrough Breast Cancer Research Centre is housed within the building dedicated to the memory of Peter's late wife, Mary-Jean Mitchell Green, who died as a consequence of an aggressive breast cancer in 1990 at the age of 38. Peter's support in achieving Breakthrough's aims of establishing a dedicated breast cancer research centre has been invaluable. The Mary-Jean Mitchell Green Foundation, which continues to fund Breakthrough, was Mary-Jean's idea and her wish.

The award was collected by Peter Green's son, Andrew.
