Are you passionate about improving breast cancer services in your local area? Interested in developing your campaigning skills so you can take action to change them? If so, Breakthrough’s Westminster Fly-In is the event for you!
On 20th and 21st October 2008 join 100 members of Breakthrough’s Campaigns & Advocacy Network (Breakthrough CAN) at Breakthrough’s Westminster Fly-In. Here you can learn about topical breast cancer issues, develop your campaigning skills at innovative training workshops, share experiences and successes with other committed and dynamic breast cancer advocates and, most importantly, meet your own member of parliament and gain their support for our breast cancer campaigns.
The Westminster Fly-In is very well respected by MPs and a great way to kick start an effective relationship with them. Bob Russell MP said of last year’s Fly-In;
"Breakthrough Breast Cancer’s Westminster Fly-In is an excellent event which is very well organised and effective from an MPs perspective"
CAN member Jane Hughes attended the Fly-In for the first time in 2007 and said;
