Marks & Spencer and Breakthrough Breast Cancer fought off stiff competition from Tesco Books for Schools and Boots Be Upfront to take home the prestigious Business in the Community Cause Related Business award 2006. Bingo for Breakthrough was awarded the title of Most Effective Corporate Relationship by The Institute of Fundraising in July 2006. Bingo for Breakthrough was praised for the way in which an entire industry of companies collaborate to support one fundraising campaign, which has raised £1.6 million in just three years. The campaign has also allowed Breakthrough to work alongside a section of the population most at risk of breast cancer, disseminating breast awareness messages to over 2 million female bingo players. In 2004 Breakthrough came third in business in the community’s cause related marketing tracker. The tracker highlights recognition for the positive impact that companies and charities are making on society through cause related marketing activity.
Avon Cosmetics was re-accredited with the Business in the Community 'Big Tick' for Cause Related Marketing, for their on-going work with Breakthrough throughout 2004.
Ford Motor Company received the big tick award in 2004 in recognition of Ford’s Drive towards a Cure cause related marketing activity.
Revolver PR scooped the Charity and Community category award at the 2005 Hollis Sponsorship awards in London, in respect of ghd’s partnership with Breakthrough through the sale of the pink irons.
Avon Cosmetics received an award from the Institute of Fundraising for the most effective corporate partnership in 2002.
