Salons Pink It Up
During Breast Cancer Awareness Month 2008, hundreds of salons throughout the UK turned pink in support of Breakthrough Breast Cancer. Salons hosted a range of fundraising activities which included pink days, raffles, sponsored events, fancy dress, open evenings, leg waxing, and pink cake sales. So far this year salons have raised a fantastic £110,000 and the money continues to roll in!
Congratulations to Define Hair Studio in Hawick, this year’s top fundraisers! Define raised a phenomenal £6756.70 by holding a waxathon in their salon. No man in Hawick was safe from their waxing strips, including local rugby players, barber shop quartets and the girls’ own boyfriends! Define have won £2000 to spend on an extra special salon event, courtesy of ghd.
