Miele – Official Merchandise Sponsor of Fashion Targets Breast Cancer 2006
Miele, the premium kitchen and appliance manufacturer, and Breakthrough Breast Cancer have been partners in the fight against breast cancer since 2002. For the 2nd consecutive year, Miele is the official swing-tag sponsor of Fashion Targets Breast Cancer, having formerly sponsored the regional roadshows. .
For Fashion Targets Breast Cancer’s 10th anniversary year, Miele has pledged to raise £65,000 through sponsorship of the Fashion Targets Breast Cancer T-shirts. By the end of 2006, Miele will have raised over £300,000 for the charity to support Breakthrough’s vital research and education work.
Woman of courage award
For the third year running, Miele is working with Prima magazine to find the UK’s Woman of Courage. Prima readers nominate women who have faced the fear of breast cancer head-on and give them the recognition they deserve. At the prestigious Prima High Street Fashion Awards in September, the winner is awarded £3000 worth of Miele appliances as well as a Miele W1000 and the four runners-up also receive this innovative washing machine.Breakthrough Breast Cancer is delighted to be working with Miele again in this proven partnership, and looks forward to this year’s Fashion Targets Breast Cancer campaign.
