Charitable Trusts and Foundations
Since Breakthrough was established, many charitable trusts and foundations have made vital contributions to support our vision: a future free from the fear of breast cancer and have contributed more than £1 million in the last year alone.
One of our most invaluable supporters is the Isle of Man Anti-Cancer Association
How can charitable trusts and foundations help?
We are currently expanding our programme of pioneering medical research.
- Breakthrough Research Unit, Edinburgh
- Breakthrough Research Unit, King’s College London
- Breakthrough Research Unit, Manchester
At this exciting time in Breakthrough's development, the support of charitable trusts and foundations has never been more important. We would like to thank those that have helped us achieve so much and those who have already committed funding for the future.
We greatly value the contribution of trusts and foundations to our work, and seek to recognise their support through:
- Updates on the progress of our work. Regular updates as Breakthrough scientists make advances in their research.
- Opportunities to meet scientists and senior charity staff at laboratory tours and receptions. A visit to our laboratories and meetings with key scientists and the Chief Executive.
- An acknowledgement in our Annual Review, annual accounts and supporter publications. Acknowledgement in Brekathrough's Annual Report and Accounts and coverage in our supporters newsletter.
- Larger donations are acknowledged as appropriate, in consultation with the donor. We would seek to recognise a major donation in an appropriate way.
