Monthly gifts are especially valuable and vital to our work. This is because when we are planning our research, campaigning and education work we must be confident that we will have sufficient ongoing funds to cover all the costs.

Our Breakthrough Generations Study, for example, is a huge undertaking. Our research scientists believe that around half of all breast cancer cases in the UK could be prevented, if the causes were better understood. The Breakthrough Generations Study is following the medical histories of more than 100,000 women over 40 years, and will teach us so much about the
Donate significance of lifestyle factors and genetics in women who develop breast cancer. It may identify triggers which cause breast cancer, or give indications of steps that women could take to protect themselves.

Setting up a direct debit to Breakthrough Breast Cancer is a quick and easy way to donate both for you and for us. It cuts down on paperwork and bank charges, which means that more of your donation goes towards helping our vital research work. Regular giving helps us to keep administration costs to a minimum and achieve our long term goals.

Giving by direct debit is an agreement between you and Breakthrough Breast Cancer to have regular donations taken from your bank/building society. You can choose to donate on 5th or the 20th.
