Photocopy your sponsor form and carry it round with you wherever you go. You’ll be surprised how many people will want to sponsor you when they find out about your challenge.

If everyone you know gave you £10 each think how much you could raise. For every 10 people you asked that would be £100!
Make use of work contacts, some companies also offer matched giving schemes whereby they will match the amount you raise up to a certain amount. Your Human Resources department should know more about this.
Approach local businesses – many have a pot of money that they put aside to give to charity. If they are really generous you could offer them a mention if the local press feature an article about you.

Set yourself a fundraising goal and keep all your contacts updated about how you are doing, your supporters will enjoy being part of your challenge.
Publicity is a great way of spreading the word about your challenge. Your local paper or radio station may run a story for you and give out your contact details for people who want to help with sponsorship.
