Lincoln Breakthrough Group

Lincoln group

The Lincoln Breakthrough Group’s aim is to fundraise and raise awareness of Breakthrough and breast cancer issues in the Lincoln area whilst also having fun and making friends along the way.

The Lincoln Breakthrough Group was formed in 2006 by Challenger Eileen Robertson. Throughout 2007 the Lincoln Group developed very close links with the Lincoln Marks and Spencer store, resulting in the group being adopted as their charity of the year! This has been most rewarding, and with M&S Head Office matching all donations collected in the Lincoln store, this has helped the group achieve new fund raising heights!

The Group have a vast array of fun events planned for 2008 including a Crocus Walk, two coffee mornings at Lincoln Central library, a summer BBQ and, following on from last year’s success, a Christmas Fayre at the Assembly Rooms Bailgate in Lincoln.

To find out more about the group and how you can get involved contact Eileen Robertson on 01522 567371 or email eileenspost@ntlworld.com.

Jan Brooks or call her on 01624 673264

South Yorkshire Doncaster Breakthrough Group

Six of the founder members of the group formed over 12 years ago make up part of this very committed and thriving team of fundraisers and supporters. We aim to hold at least 3 major fundraising events yearly as well as other smaller events, coupled with raising awareness, talks to interested organisations, collecting cheques etc.

Why not ask for a copy of our Christmas quiz - an excellent fundraiser which you can begin selling at your October event. One of our copies went as far as New Zealand - can you beat that - or find a really unusual destination!'
